OIC 2025 Briefed by Pakistan at UN on Escalating brutal Indian Aggression
Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari-led high-level parliamentary delegation informed the member states of OIC at the United Nations about the serious developments in South Asia in the wake of India’s military aggression and its unfounded allegations against Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam attack.
Speaking to the OIC Permanent Representatives, Bilawal Bhutto totally rejected India’s effort to implicate Pakistan in the Pahalgam incident without any serious investigation or evidence.

He pointed out that such was the rushed blame game that was made a cover for illegal military actions such as cross-border fire, which involved hitting civilians and civilian infrastructure.
He spoke with serious concern regarding the unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty which is viewed by Pakistan as a blatant exercise in weaponizing water and an international and treaty obligation breach.
He made it explicitly clear that we cannot and must not make this a new normal.
He underlined that because of India’s aggressive belligerence, the world had become an insecure one, with real and immediate ramifications for peace and security in the South Asian region.
He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, restraint, and diplomacy. He urged the restoration of the Indus Waters Treaty, complete respect for the ceasefire, and the reinstatement of a comprehensive dialogue with India, with the settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute at its center.
Bilawal Bhutto emphasised that the OIC has become the moral conscience of the world in these trying times and expressed gratitude to the OIC member states for their unwavering solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He emphasised again that the Jammu and Kashmir issue is central to the achievement of enduring peace in South Asia.
The OIC member states’ Permanent Representatives appreciated Pakistan’s timely and transparent briefing and once again reiterated their solidarity with Pakistan and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
They reaffirmed their concern regarding deteriorating security situation in South Asia and emphasized the need to abide by the principles of the UN Charter and international law and in this context, the sanctity of treaties including the Indus Water Treaty.
The OIC countries welcomed Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue and diplomacy for the resolution of all disputes, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
