Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the world does not embrace the delusional narrative of nations that utilize terrorism as a tool for political purposes.
While addressing the 25th SCO Heads of State Council meeting in Tianjin, China, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the President and Government of China for the excellent hosting and thorough arrangements.
The SCO is a testament to Pakistan’s enduring commitment to regional cooperation and integration.
He added that Pakistan has never been a believer in the might of unilateralism, confrontation, and militarism; sovereignty and territorial integrity are more precious for any nation than anything else.
Pakistan respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of SCO nations as well as neighboring countries.
The Prime Minister stated that CPEC is a very good project between Pakistan and China, we have respect for all international and bilateral agreements, and free access to water according to the agreements will strengthen the goals of the SCO even more.
Shahbaz Sharif also stated that Pakistan desires normal relations with all the neighboring countries and for this, they desire dialogue and diplomacy.
An all-encompassing dialogue is essential for eternal peace in South Asia. All historic problems can be tackled with an all-encompassing dialogue.
Referring to the situation in Gaza, the Prime Minister stated that the continued oppression and starvation in Gaza is an open wound on our shared conscience.
Pakistan endorses the two-state solution ratified by the United Nations. We reinforce our call for an immediate halt to oppression and violence.
He added that Pakistan has made huge sacrifices in the war on terror. Terrorism, separatism, and extremism pose a serious threat to the whole region. We strongly condemn terrorism in all its shapes and forms.
The Prime Minister added that the world does not believe the false narrative of the states that employ terrorism as an instrument for political interests.
There is a foreign hand in the terrorist strikes in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The perpetrators of the heinous acts and their abettors need to be brought to book.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that Afghanistan is our fraternal neighboring country. It is not only in our interest but also in the interest of the region as a whole that Afghanistan remains stable.
