Islamabad police arrested the prime accused in TikToker Sana Yousaf murder case, ARY News reported on Tuesday. Police sources said the accused, who is a resident of Punjab, has accepted responsibility for the crime. The murder weapon and Sana Yousaf’s iPhone have also been recovered from the accused by authorities.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the prompt response of the law enforcement. Posting on X, he remarked: “Well done Islamabad Police. Sana Yousaf murder case traced, accused arrested, and weapon recovered within 20 hours.”

The incident had taken place a day before in Islamabad, when Sana Yousaf was shot dead by a masked attacker. The case evoked mass outrage on social media.
The case was reported within Sumbal Police Station’s jurisdiction. As per early reports. The victim, Sana Yousaf from Chitral, was shot dead by a man outside her house.

As per the police, the suspect briefly chatted with Sana outside her house and then fired shots.

The TikToker was hit with two bullets and died on the spot due to her injuries. The suspect fled. The body was transferred to PIMS Hospital, where a postmortem examination was done, and after completing legal formalities, the body was released to her family.
